Psychotherapy creates a safe space in which to explore our lives. The quality of the psychotherapy relationship is important - we are often wounded in relationship and therefore, I believe, there exists an opportunity to heal through relationship.
Therapeutic help is about being given AND taking space to explore not only the problems and difficulties that life inevitably throws into the ring but also a space for creativity and soulful journeying.
Some of our 'blocks' can be traced to childhood difficulties; others through the challenge of life transitions. Nowadays I work with most issues. After almost 3 decades of sitting with people and engaging in numerous additional trainings, I find myself simply committed to being with the stuff that we experience as members of the human race - trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss of direction in life, bereavement and loss, blocks to creativity etc. For fuller details of my practice do visit my website or call me on 07940 937267. You can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist with nine years experience. I can offer both short and long term therapy and have done work with CBT. My approach is humanistic and integrative/transpersonal, focusing on core issues such as depression, loss, abandonment and childhood trauma, anything that prevents us from living our lives in an authentic and fulfilling way in the present. I’ve been working in private practice since 1997 and am BACP accredited. My approach is integrative and person-centred, drawing on existential and mindfulness-based approaches as well as CBT. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I work with individuals and couples; young people (over 18) as well as older adults. I see people with all sorts of problems, as well as those whose goal is to explore their lives further. I am especially interested in helping people with relationship problems, depression, stress & anxiety, chronic illness, difficulties with food and the aftermath of rape & sexual abuse.
I am currently studying for a Diploma in Supervision and for the duration of the course, I’m offering reduced-cost supervision to individual therapists.’

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and have been in private practice for 20 years.
While I have worked successfully with people on a short-term basis I prefer to work long term. When working over an extended period it gives the opportunity to explore at a much deeper level, including using dreams, and to make more far-reaching changes.

If you’re experiencing difficulties, talking to a psychotherapist can help. There may be things you can’t discuss with family and friends, such as feelings of sadness, anger, loneliness, or anxiety. I offer a supportive, confidential space where everything is welcome. You may find that exploring your personal story as well as your current issues is helpful. With a greater understanding of who you are, it’s possible to move on from old patterns and discover a more accepting and connected way of being with yourself and others.
I am registered with UKCP and have been practising for five years. As a senior trainee, I am currently able to offer therapy at a lower cost. You can contact me firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07749 044678.

In our first session we can consider what might be bringing you to therapy and if we think we can work well together - research shows that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is the most important indicator to therapy being successful.
We can explore what feels difficult in your life and how a safe, confidential and collaborative relationship may help. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety and stress, depression,
self-esteem issues, bereavement and caring for ill family members, eating disorders, trauma, relationship problems, women's issues, work stress problems and anger. I also have an interest in working with adult only children and the issues that arise in mid life.
